Morgans Apothecary & Tea Room

Branding Refresh & Expansion | Apothecary, Tea House + Boutique

How it Started

Having worked closely with Leah, the founder of Morgans, for years on packaging, signage, and other design projects for both Morgans and her aromatherapy business, Healingscents, I was excited to be part of the next chapter.

As Morgans expanded its boutique offerings and introduced a tea room, an opportunity emerged to bring these established businesses together under one cohesive identity. The goal was to create a brand that reflected everything Morgans had become while supporting where it was headed.

What They Needed

The challenge was to unite two established identities while honouring the history and botanical roots of Healingscents and the evolving personality of Morgans.

The new identity needed to feel refined, distinctive, and versatile enough to connect everything from aromatherapy products and packaging to boutique retail, the tea room, and a growing e-commerce presence.

Where We Landed

The result was a refined, contemporary identity that brings the many facets of Morgans together while maintaining a strong connection to its botanical roots. A distinctive monogram, thoughtful typography, and a versatile colour palette create a cohesive visual language that extends across packaging, signage, retail materials, and the tea room.

Working alongside a web design partner, we carried that identity into the e-commerce experience, creating a consistent and recognizable brand across both physical and digital spaces.

What I Loved

Having worked with Leah for many years, being part of this next chapter was especially meaningful. It was rewarding to move beyond designing within an established identity and help shape the brand itself.

I also loved collaborating on the website and seeing the new identity come to life through a cohesive digital experience.

One of the highlights was visiting Morgans in person, experiencing the space, trying the products, and spending time in the lab making hands-on packaging adjustments. Getting to experience so many aspects of the business firsthand gave me an even deeper appreciation for what we were creating together.
